Dr. Amy is originally from the small northern California town of Palo Cedro, just outside of Redding, where she graduated as valedictorian of the Mercy High School Class of 1982. She went on to pursue a BA in English and Pre-professional studies at the University of Notre Dame. She completed her doctoral degree at the University of California, San Francisco earning a doctor of dental surgery in 1990. Dr. Amy has been actively involved with her children serving over twenty years as a Girl Scout leader for her three daughters as well as soccer team mom and manager for her children’s AYSO, club and high school soccer teams. She has been active in her local school’s PTA/PTO at the elementary, middle and high school level serving over the years as a book fair, community events, staff of the month and volunteer coordinator. She enjoyed being a theater mom, soccer mom, water polo mom, swim mom and more helping support the teams and activities of her busy children. She also enjoyed visiting local preschools to teach fun, interactive dental health lessons for the young children. Her favorite hobbies including reading novels, travelling, and taking long walks.
